GIANT SPIDER WARNING: Brits warned to NOT go in their garages

SPIDER experts have warned Brits to avoid walking headfirst into their garages as there may be THOUSANDS of the beasts living inside.

Giant spiders are taking over garages in BritainSTAY OUT: Thousands of giant spiders have set up camp in garages across Britain [GETTY]
As Britain has basked in weeks of warm weather, spiders have grown in size – and they are setting up camp in YOUR garages before heading into homes when the cold weather hits.
And with the dark corners of the garage providing the perfect protection for the arachnids, there could be as many as 3,000 of them lurking in the shadows.
Mating season has also begun so some of those spiders may also be carrying egg sacs containing hundreds more looking for warm areas to live.

“My garage seems to have become a haven for spiders”
Alan Ausden
The alarming news comes as one Brit described how a "haven" of spiders were discovered in his garage in Milton Keynes – including the deadly false widow spider.
Dad-of-two Alan Ausden described how he was taking an old bed frame out of a box when he spotted what he thought was a beetle – but turned out to be more sinister.
And now he has BANNED his children from going inside in case they get bitten.
He told MK Web: "I’ve told the boys not to go into the garage. I don’t like spiders at all.
"I know [false widows] can bite, and they can be quite nasty.
"I thought it was interesting too because people in Milton Keynes have been talking about seeing bigger spiders at the moment."
And the false widow wasn't the only thing he discovered inside.
Alan added: "We’ve had over a 100 Daddy Longlegs in there, loads of house spiders too – some have been very, very big.
"My garage seems to have become a haven for spiders."

Garages in Britain may be home to tube spiders, false widows, giant house spiders and the 14cm cardinal spider – the biggest spider in the UK.
Giant spider sightings have surged in the UK over the past few months, with the warm weather blamed for their growth.
A spider with GREEN FANGS was discovered living outside a Devon man's home by a terrified dad-of-three this week.
Darren Driscoll spoke of his panic when he saw the dreaded tube spider – which can move at frightening speeds and can inflict viscious bites.

He said: "By the look of it I would say it had more than doubled in size from when I first saw it two months ago.
"I think it is a tube-web spider, and I was surprised to hear it has such a painful bite, like being stabbed with a nail."
Earlier this year we reported on the deadly redback spider being spotted in Britain.
The beasts – also known as the TOILET SPIDER for setting up home under loo seats – are native to Australia but there have been confirmed sightings in the UK.
And spider experts reckon they may ALREADY be in UK homes as they search for warm places to live.
